Workshops For Adults

As well as group and school workshops I am teaming up with fellow printmaker Marilyn Jeffries to offer our expertise in teaching copper etching, drypoint, collograph, linocut and monoprinting, (subject to be discussed beforehand). We cover creative inking techniques (with both oil and the new water-based 'green' inks), chine colle, multi-plate printing and the use of stencils.

The cost for the day is £30 plus materials. Please bring an apron and a packed lunch. Wear warm clothes as the factory is unheated outside the studio.

Venue: The Art Factory Studios, Studio 24, South Norwich Business Park, Hall Road, Norwich, Norfolk, NR4 6DP.

On regular Saturdays throughout the year.

PRINT MAKING WORKSHOPS

I am a professional artist offering printmaking workshops to all ages and abilities primarily in schools and art centres. I use professional quality materials and equipment and have a unique mobile printing press that many students have had no experience of (see the drawing on the right).

I offer several print techniques to suit different ages and abilities, which give a relatively easy way of getting impressive results, even for students who profess to have no ability in this area, consequently they express a high level of interest and sense of achievement. The techniques I offer, which can be seen in more detail on the next four pages, are:

stamping, press-print, monoprinting with stencils, collograph, linocut, woodcut, drypoint and Poetry Prints. (For more details of these techniques click the links above.)

If you want to book me for either an individual or a group workshop please see my contact details on the Contacts page.

My workshops enable students to:

- Express themselves creatively, using images, colour and sometimes, text.

- Learn good principles of design and how to design in the mirror image.

- Learn several printing techniques.

- Use a printing press and mechanical equipment safely.

- Produce a range of printed items.

-Develop eye/hand coordination.

- Follow specific instructions and different stages of a process.

If you would like to join my mailing list and receive information on courses, workshops and exhibitions please go to the Contacts page for my email address.
