We’re looking for poets and artists to create work inspired by the Paston Letters, the village of Paston, and accompanying images and objects.
If you’d like to take part, you’ll need to attend at least one workshop. Writers and artists of all levels of experience are welcome: published or unpublished, experienced or beginners. All you need is enthusiasm for this wonderful project, and a willingness to produce work informed by this unique source material.
I am a professional artist exhibiting both as an individual and in collaboration with other artists and writers, especially within the collaborative group InPrint.
Working mainly on paper I draw quite spontaneously, allowing imagery to emerge with little conscious interference. The drawings are of intricate patterns and archetypal symbols relating to themes such as the family, fertility, reproduction and the four elements. There are also lots of images of nature and especially trees and leaves.
As a printmaker I mostly use the techniques of relief print, collograph and etching to make colourful figurative and also abstract images.
I am an artist and tutor with over 15 years of teaching experience in running workshops for schools, tutoring evening classes and teaching private students.
With my unique mobile-printing-press I am able to offer a comprehensive range of techniques and classes for all ages and abilities at a large variety of venues.
